Quick question, why in the world is the file 11MB when the skin doesn't have that many changes to WLM ?

Agreed, i just re-saved all the images in the same format before adding it to the db and it was 5MB already... with a bit of tweaking and compression it should be even less.

5MB version is online at http://www.msgpluslive.net/skins/view/24-SexySkin/

how did you get them to be smaller?  as far as i was aware the images were all saved in the same format

how did you make them smaller file size but still maintain quality, so that i can do this with any future additions

If you have Photoshop;

File > Save For Web And Devices

Gives you a whole wealth of options for all different file types, and a nice comparison of before and after ;p

I used Multiple Image Resizer .NET, a tool i usually use to resize batches of images, but in this case i set it to just save them in the same dimensions.

However, you can use any good graphics editor. Photoshop will do very well if you have it.
